Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe

The cabbage soup diet recipe is very popular. There are a few different versions of how to make the cabbage soup diet recipe and some vary by one or two ingredients. Most versions of the cabbage soup diet recipe claim you can lose 7-10 pounds in a week if you follow the diets guidelines.

Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe

  • 1/2 Head of Cabbage
  • 2 Large Onions
  • 1 Celery Bunch
  • 1 Package of Onion Soup Mix
  • 3 Carrots
  • 6 cups water or light chicken broth or V8 Juice
  • 1 or 2, 14 oz cans of Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Green Peppers
  • 8 Mushrooms sliced

    Directions

    Slice up vegetables finely or according to taste. Put veggies in a pot and add water. Bring to a boil and add seasoning, allow to simmer while covered. Simmer slowly until vegetables are soft.Eat as much soup as you want when ever you are hungry at any time during the day. You can also eat the following foods on specific days but you must consume at least one bowl of soup everyday. Drink 6-8 glasses of water each day.
  • Monday : Any fruits but bananas.
  • Tuesday: Eat any vegetable you want.
  • Wednesday: Eat fruits and vegetables, but no bananas.
  • Thursday: Eat up to 8 bananas and drink as many as 8 glasses of skim milk.
  • Friday: A small serving of lean skinless chicken. You can also eat tomatoes.
  • Saturday: Chicken, or fish and vegetables.
  • Sunday: Brown rice, vegetables, and fresh squeezed fruit juice.
